You can be happy forever and forever.....

1. Throw out non-essential numbers. This includes age, weight, and height. Let the doctors worry about them.. That is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down. (Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!)

3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4. Enjoy the simple things of life

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with him or her!

6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is our self.

7. LIVE while you are alive. Enjoy your life. Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it.If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't feel guilty and go for guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

Are you afraid of dark?

Whenever you are afraid of something, you must first ask your self 'Why you are afraid?' Are you afraid because you are not sure of its outcome? or are you afraid because you see others are afraid too and you are just aping their reaction?

Many children are afraid of dark and more than 95% of everything you are afraid of has never really happened. Sometimes you are afraid of something just because your friend is afraid too. You actually have no real reason to be afraid.

So let us become aware of what is fear and how we can overcome the fear of fear.

Many times we are afraid because we are ignorant. Fear is actually a protector. You want to avoid the situation of which you have no knowledge about. Fear is actually a message, not a weakness.

But we must face the fear and try to understand it. If you have confidence in your self then you will not be afraid of anything.

Courage is just an initiative away from fear. Take a step forward in spite of your fear.

Conquer fear fearlessly because people who are brave are afraid of nothing.

Getting Motivated

Are there moments in your life when you are unhappy with your own self? You want to do some thing very badly but are afraid to do? You don’t get motivated to do anything, you feel too lazy. How do you motivate or encourage yourself?

There are two things known to motivate human beings
1. Fear of pain
2. Rewards of pleasure

Suppose you want to paint one wall of your room.

Make a list of all the pain you will experience if you paint the wall,
for example: you may get tired, or it is messy, or it may cost money, or whatever else you can think of.

Then make a list of what the pleasure you will get after painting the wall, for example: the room will look beautiful, your friends will praise you, you will feel good

Then make a list of all the pleasure you will miss out if you don’t paint your room. You will have no sense of satisfaction from not having completed the task, you may feel guilty of your laziness,

Make your list as long as possible. The better the list, the easier it will be for you to get on with the job at hand.

If it is a long-term task review your list daily and whenever you need to throughout the day. Also, if it is a long-term task, break it down into small manageable pieces. Write them down on a list and cross them off as you complete them. This helps you keep a track of your progress and helps keep you motivated

Of course the other option is - Just Do IT.
